Background
Background:When a domestic KTM 790 DUKE with an electronic quick shifter shows no QUICK SHIFT+ on/off option on the dash and malfunctions, activate and match the installed quick shifter system.

Preparation
Preparation: MOTOMASTER scanner, M001A main cable, M019/N019 diagnostic cable.
Solution
Solution: Using OBDSTAR MOTOMASTER to operate on【Reset self-adapting parameters】and【Quick Shift】functions.
Detail Steps:
①Select 【MOTO Diag】--【KAWASAKI】--Latest Version to enter 【Diagnosis】 ;




②Click【By model】;

③Click【790 Duke (2018-2020)】;

④Click【Manual selection】;

⑤Click【ENG】;

⑥Click【Enter】;

⑦Click【Agree】, follow the prompts, enter the password 123, Click【OK】;



⑧Click【Reset self-adapting parameters】 ;

⑨click【OK】;

⑩After resetting,Click【Ok】to exit ;
Note: On some models, after executing this reset function, the gear display may fail; this is normal and solutions will be provided.

⑪Click【Quick Shift】;

⑫Click【OK】;

⑬Follow the scanner instructions to pull in the clutch and start the engine, adjust the RPM to 801rpm, then Click【OK】;
Note: The actual engine RPM will be displayed on the scanner; the RPM shown here is for illustration purposes only.

⑭According to the device prompts, manually operate the gears, wait for the device to automatically switch to the result interface ;
Detailed steps:
Before performing the following operations, place the motorcycle in a safe condition, keep it upright so the rear wheel can move freely, and ensure the side stand is raised (do not turn the throttle during the process).
⑴ Shift into neutral.
⑵ Engage first gear, ensure the shift pedal returns to its resting position, then wait for at least two seconds before shifting into the next gear. Repeat this process until sixth gear is reached. (Rotating the rear wheel slowly during the process can help facilitate smoother shifting).
⑶ After reaching sixth gear, shift back into neutral to complete the manual operation.

⑮Function executed successfully. Electronic quick shift option displayed on instrument (enable/disable at instrument) ;
