Background

Background：In PIAGGIO system，Potentiometer reset function applies to scenarios involving gear potentiometer replacement or signal delay malfunctions. When activated, it displays the real-time angle. Manually adjust the gear motor to 12° to complete reset and ensure system functionality. 

The following operation tutorial takes the PIAGGIO MP3-300HPE E5 as an example.

Preparation

Preparation: MS80, M001A, M004.

Details Steps:

①Select 【MOTO Diag】--【PIAGGIO】--Latest Version to enter 【Diag】 ;

②Select Latest Version , click【OK】;

③Select【By Vehicle Type】and then the corresponding menu ;

④Click【Manual selection】;

⑤Click【PARKING】;

⑥Click【DIGITEK CECA】;

⑦Click【Special Function】, follow the prompts, enter the password 123, Click【OK】;

⑧Click 【Potentiometer reset】;

⑨click【OK】;

⑩On this function interface, manually adjust the gear motor angle until the lower angle stays at 12° (adjustment steps below) ;

⑪Locate the gear motor fixing screws (slight differences exist among models, please distinguish by yourself) ;

⑫Use a screwdriver to turn the gear motor screw counterclockwise until the angle displayed in the diagnostic device function is adjusted to 12°. Slight fluctuations (0.00°0.50°) are normal ;

⑬After adjustment, turn off and then on the dashboard as per device prompts, and wait for reset successful ;

⑭Reset successful ;
