Background
After replacing a damaged Body Control Module (BCM), a Harley Davidson Sportster 883 failed to start due to an activated anti-theft fault. Normal operation was restored by performing the【Module Replacement】function on MOTOMASTER to complete the module learning process.

Preparation

Solution
Solution: Use OBDSTAR MOTOMASTER to execute the【Module Replacement】function. This allows the newly installed module to complete the learning process, thereby clearing the anti-theft fault.
Detail Steps:
①Select 【MOTO Diag】--【HARLEY DAVIDSON】--Latest Version to enter 【Diagnosis】 ;




②Click【Auto Scan】; (Alternatively, you can manually select the ENG System via the system menu) ;

③Click the Enter icon on the right side of【ENG】to access the engine system menu. (If entry fails, use the【Scan ECU】function below to check the engine system status. If the ECU cannot be detected, please troubleshoot the engine module's working status) ;

④Click【Special Function】, then click 【Agree】, follow the prompts, enter the password 123, click【OK】 ;



⑤Click the【Module Replacement】function ;

⑥Click【OK】 ;

⑦Attempt normal start once as prompted by the device ;

⑧Function finished, the BCM module has been successfully learned ;
