Q: Under what circumstances do I need to short a 120 ohm resistor on the CANBUS communication cable?
A: When the FORD model is operated by BENCH on the workbench, a 120 ohm resistor needs to be shorted between CANH and CANL. See the product description for the specific shorting method!
Q: Under what circumstances is it not necessary to short the 120 ohm resistor on the CANBUS communication cable?
A: All OBD operations do not require external resistors, and VW and Skoda do not require resistors for BENCH operation on the workbench!
